Immigrant-origin families are ethnically and racially diverse as they hail from across the globe (see graph below).

Among youth and young adults (ages 14 to 24), for example,more than three-quar­ters (77%) are Asian or Pacific Islander first- or second- generation. The same is true for 51% of Lati­ne/Hispanic, and 14% of Black, 21% of two or more races, 11% of Indigenous, and 6% of non-His­pan­ic white youth.
