Martha Franco

Martha C. Franco (she/her/hers) is a fifth year doctoral candidate at Harvard University. Broadly, her research examines the educational experiences of Central American unaccompanied youth. Her dissertation focuses on how Central American unaccompanied youth are incorporated into U.S. public high schools, paying attention to how their experiences in and out of the classroom can shape their understanding of education and the nation state. Additionally, she examines how educators and other stakeholders understand the role of education in the lives of unaccompanied youth.
