Jaein Josefina Lee is a PhD candidate in Education at Harvard University, concentrating in Culture, Institutions and Society. She is broadly interested in the roles that different institutions (e.g., schools, community-based organizations, family) play to support the education and integration of immigrant youth in their host societies. Her dissertation explores the college experiences of first-generation, low-income immigrant students, specifically the institutional factors which influence how they build relationships and seek out support, both on and off campus. Jaein holds a B.A. from Bowdoin College and Ed.M. in Education Policy and Management from Harvard University.
